No plan gives more than 2 locations during the free days, so the larger plans are narrowed for the week. A plan that already allows fewer is unchanged, and your plan's full allowance starts at your first charge.
The free days are for accounts that have never subscribed. If you cancel and come back later, checkout charges you straight away.

Yes. Checkout collects a card so the subscription can continue without interruption if you decide to stay — but nothing is charged for 7 days, and if you cancel before then you are not charged at all. If you would rather not enter a card yet, the free check needs neither a card nor an account.
You are charged for the plan and billing interval you picked at checkout, and Stripe emails you a receipt. Nothing changes about the product — the tracking and fixes you have been using simply continue.
One office or shop. If you serve several towns from a single shop, that is one location — the plans count buildings, not service areas. Each location gets its own weekly tracking and its own set of fixes.
Yes, at any time. Settings → Billing opens your billing portal, where you can move up or down a tier. Stripe shows you exactly what it will charge and when before you confirm, so you never find out afterwards.
Only the price. Yearly bills once for 10 months instead of twelve — 2 months free, 16% off — and everything in the product is identical either way.
Settings → Billing, then cancel in the portal — no conversation, no retention call, and no emailing us to ask permission. Your plan runs to the end of the period you have already paid for and then stops.
Sometimes — the cases we refund and the ones we do not are written out in the refund policy rather than decided case by case. If something has gone wrong, email us before you read it; we would rather fix it.
